The Jiggle Effect on Faster Weight Loss

Exercise Physiologists who study the effects of exercise on weight loss, have determined that the “jiggling” or shaking of excess body fat when someone walks fast or jogs, in combination with the muscle contractions invlovled in that activity, causes weight loss. I call it the “jiggle effect”. :) This effect is caused by chemical messengers in the body - in response to the “jiggle” and muscle contractions - they say, “hey body, this person needs to be able to move more efficiently, let’s get rid of some of this fat”. So, above and beyond the normal caloric expenditure of that activity, these chemical messengers cause fat loss to happen more easily. So, how can you take advantage of the “jiggle” effect? The more you “jiggle”, and the more intense the muscle contractions, the more pronounced the effect. Thus, faster walking is better than slower walking, and a slow jog is better than a fast walk. A good way to incorporate this into your aerobic exercise is to use “intervals”. As you may know, I believe in making “intervals” a major part of your aerobic exercise sessions. I’ve received lots of encouraging feedback from my subscribers who have been very successful with interval training. Here are a few of the messages.. “Greg, Thanks for all your help. I took your advice and started using intervals in my walking sessions. Woooooo! The results have been dramatic. First of all in the way I feel. I have never really felt good after exercise, but now I think I’m getting that “high” thing. I feel fantastic. I am so much more energetic all day long now. I had been struggling at a weight loss plateau but this got me over it and I’m consistently losing two to three pounds a week. Thanks for turning me on to this.” “Hello Greg, I read on your site about intervals and decided to give it a try. I really can’t believe how different my exercise is now. I have much more muscle tone, and I know this sounds crazy, but some weeks my weight loss just seems to take off. I love this!” “Greg, About three months ago I started doing intervals as you suggested and I actually look forward to exercise now. It makes the time pass quickly and I really feel pumped when I finish. Thanks for the recommendation.” I receive a few messages similar to these every week. Are you ready to give “intervals” a try? Here’s how to get started.. Intervals are brief periods (about one minute) of more intense exercise mixed into your regular aerobic exercise sessions. For example, if you’re walking, you would do a one minute interval of faster walking about every five minutes throughout your exercise session. Here’s how it will look.. you’ll start with your normal three to five minute warm-up and then five minutes into your workout you do your first interval, one minute of faster walking (or perhaps jogging). At the end of that minute you should be “winded” and ready to slow down. You’ll slow down to your normal exercising speed for the next four minutes and then your fifth minute is another one minute interval. This pattern continues throughout your exercise session. You’ll derive several benefits from intervals. 1. Intervals can help you to get past a weight loss plateau. 2. Intervals increase your aerobic fitness level by “pushing the envelope”. While doing your interval you cross the anaerobic threshold into anaerobic metabolism, forcing your body to become conditioned to more intense exercise. 3. Your increased level of fitness means that a given level of exercise will feel easier and that you will be able to exercise at a higher intensity which “burns” more calories. 4. Your increased level of fitness also means that you will be less fatigued from daily activities and you’ll have more “energy” throughout the day. 5. Intervals increase your basal metabolic rate (BMR), causing you to burn more calories 24 hours-a-day. 6. Intervals cause you to “burn” more calories during your exercise session and for several hours afterwards. 7. Intervals will tone the involved muscles to a greater degree than your regular aerobic exercise would. 8. Intervals can make your exercise less monotonous and help the time pass more quickly. 9. Intervals will energize you! 10. Because they are missing out on the most important reason that they cant lose the weight or how to prevent the diet yoyo. The standard line you get is that you need to diet and exercise to get results, and for some people, especially the younger generation, this works. But for a huge number of the population this is just not going to work, try as they may. The missing factor in a successful weight loss program is the cleansing of your colon. If you are not familiar with colon cleansing then this may sound like an odd statement to make. But, consider this; a backed up colon will not only prevent weight loss, but will also cause a whole host of other symptoms such as: - Always tired and sluggish - Interrupted sleep - Weight gain - Aches and pains - Premature wrinkling of the skin - Unexplained skin rashes - Constipation or diarrhea - Bloating and gas - Menstrual cramping - Headaches These are only some of the symptoms of a clogged toxic colon. What does this have to do with weight loss? The food we eat should be digested and eliminated in 2 to 3 days, but with processed food it can take 5 to 6 days. Undigested food starts clogging in your large intestine making it difficult for it to absorb the nutrients you need. As you get further backed up this material becomes toxic and hard making it very difficult to eliminate. You could literally have 4 to 20 pounds of old fecal matter and a narrowing of the passage so that future eliminations become difficult and constipation sets in. When you eat the typical American diet you may feel full but may be starving for real nutrients. If the diet remains poor, the intestines remain clogged and the body becomes desperate to eliminate toxic buildup. It put tremendous stress on the liver and kidneys and can even manifest itself by trying to get rid of toxins through the skin and odd unexplained rashes appear. Premature wrinkling can occur and metabolism slows making it difficult to lose weight. If you want to lose weight, get healthy, look and feel better, then do a good colon cleanse first. Take care of the toxic build up and you may feel like a million bucks. Youll then lose weight, and if you eat the right foods, drink a lot of water and exercise; you should be able to reach your goal. (It would not hurt to follow with a liver and kidney cleanse)! By Jonathan Johnson Preparing your garden for winter will minimize cold damage and ensure much healthier plants in the spring. The following guidelines will help you in preparing your landscape for the cold winter months. Tropical potted plants need to be brought indoors before the first frost. Place them near a window with strong sunlight - preferably on the south side of your home. Hardier potted plants need some winter protection, especially in colder climates. It is a good idea to place them in a protected area like a garage and bring them out into shaded areas on warm days. Another alternative is to place the plants on the south side of your home against a wall. For best results mulch heavily around the containers. The sunlight will last longer on this side of your home, heating the wall which will radiate heat out through the night. It will also give the plants protection from northerly winds. After the first frost, when your perennials are starting to turn brown and die back, is the best time for mulching. You will want to cover the perennials with a 2-4 layer of mulch, straw or evergreen boughs. This will help protect the plant through their winter dormancy. In very cold climates you can mulch up to a 6 layer of protection. When spring arrives be sure to remove mulch and clip off the dead foliage. New growth should start appearing shortly as the ground continues to warm. Some plants, like roses, need to be protected in the colder climates. A heavy mulching is called for, and if in doubt, mulch! If you live in area that receives less than 1-inch on rain per week, your trees and shrubs will need to be watered throughout the winter. For individuals who live in areas where the ground actually freezes you will want to do one good deep watering before the ground freezes. This should provide enough moisture for the deep roots below the frozen soil. Apply a good 2-4 layer of mulch on top of your landscape fabric around your trees and shrubs. This will help hold in the soils warmth and moisture throughout the winter. In very cold climates you can mulch up to 6 layer of protection and even higher around the trunks of trees and shrubs. It is a good idea to use landscape fabrics in the flower beds in your landscape. Landscape fabrics are designed to help prevent weeds from growing and hold moisture in the soil. By following these few simple guidelines, you can help your plants, trees, and shrubs survive the harsh winter conditions. That is how do I make the first move or even what would be a good way to even make this move or approach this woman that I am interested in. Believe me I know how much effort and energy goes into the first approach. I have had my fair share of rejection and disappointments when it came to trying to meet that special person or just wanting to have some female companionship. I used to go to the same bar on every weekend for a year or so. I would see the same girls all the time there. I would try to talk to them and they would want nothing to do with me. I could not for the life of me figure out why? I mean Im not a bad looking guy. I had a good job so what gives. I sat there just getting really angry about this. I watched this go on for a couple two three weeks. I literally watched this guy approach different women with almost the same response from every one of them. This guy was only shoot down twice that I seen, and it really didnt look like the type of rejection that I was used to. I made it a point to get to know this guy. Believe me I put a lot of effort into befriending this person because I had to know just what his secret was. To make a long story short I got to know Dave, and he did tell me his secret. Turns out he had the same problem I was dealing with up until he came across this lesson guide he called it. This lesson guide was nothing more then a small book that was about how to pick up women. The book was about the little signs to look for. Things like if there are four women sitting together which one of the four to approach first to get the door open. Along with other simple things like how to read the signs those women carry, and how to approach a woman so they dont feel like its a come on or fell threatened. I got this little book and was amazed at the simple little things that I never paid attention to before. Things that if I would have known before I would have had a lot less doors slammed in my face. I have a lot of women friends now, and before I was married they where always trying to hook me up with there hot girl friends. Its true what they say about knowledge is power. So for crafty folks looking to liven up plain wooden picture frames, here are a few quick and easy hints for starting off. - Give it a nice bright coat of paint. Multi-purpose craft paints are available in craft shops and many department stores. They come in sets–a strip of paints in plastic containers with pop-off lids. Choose a solid color for your picture frames or be bold and paint designs. For a special look, why not try stenciling? - Think paper! Decoupage is the craft of decorating an item by covering it in pieces of fabric or paper. It’s a great technique for livening up the look of a plain wooden picture frame.
